Kauai is noted for its beauty and variety and this Challenge celebrates that. Because this is a Challenge cache, there is a requirement that must be met before logging the cache as a Find.
On Kauai, there are geocaches of 5 different sizes: Micro, Small, Regular, Large & Other. In order to qualify to log this cache as a Find, you have to find geocaches of 4 of those 5 sizes in the county of Kauai. These 4 sizes can have been found at any time.
There are also caches which Project-GC says are a size, i.e. Virtual & Not Chosen, but those are hard to search for and there is no requirement to find either of those sizes. The Difficulty rating is for the search for caches and the Terrain is actual.
In order to experience more of Kauai, I urge you to investigate the island's one Large cache, the delightful Directionally Challenged (GC99YDW) and the island's one other Challenge cache - Moku of Hawaii Challenge (GC5CMXQ).

Approximately 680 species of fish are known to inhabit the waters around the Hawaiian Islands and most are found around Kauai.
