Il rifugio è cirocndato da uno splendido bosco di aceri di monte, ontani e betulle che si mescolano a faggi e abeti in un ambiente dove è ancora possibile assaporare dimenticate sensazioni di tranquillità e serenità.
Il rifugio è aperto dal 25 dicembre al 6 gennaio e dal 25 aprile al 31 ottobre. In estete il rifugio Padova è raggiungibile in auto: da Domegge si oltrepassa il lago Centro Cadore e si segue la strada che sale ripida nel bosco. La strada si presenta quasi tutta asfaltata, è lunga 7 km e porta fino a quota 1287 dove si trova il rifugio, punto di partenza di moltissime escursioni più e meno impegnative sugli Spalti di Toro. Chi vuole godersi una tranquilla passeggiata nel bosco, può salire a piedi: tempi di percorrenza circa 2 ore. In inverno il rifugio può essere raggiunto a piedi e, neve permettendo, con le ciaspe o gli sci alpinismo.
Questa geocache è stata realizzata e posizionata dalla classe prima della scuola media di Santo Stefano di Cadore, nell'ambito di un'uscita didattica per conoscere la montagna.

The Padova Lodge, located in the municipality of Domegge di Cadore, was built in 1910 by the Padua CAI section and stands in a clearing at 1300 m above sea level. at the foot of the Monfalconi and Spalti di Toro chain.
It is crowned by a splendid forest where sycamore maples, alders and birches mix with beech and fir trees in an environment where it is still possible to savor forgotten sensations of tranquility and serenity.
The lodge is open from 25 December to 6 January and from 25 April to 31 October. In summer the Padova Lodge can be reached by car: from Domegge you pass the Centro Cadore lake and follow the road that climbs steeply into the woods. The road is almost entirely asphalted, is 7 km long and leads up to an altitude of 1287 where the lodge is located, the starting point for many more and less demanding excursions on the Spalti di Toro. Those who want to enjoy a quiet walk in the woods can go up on foot: travel time approximately 2 hours. In winter the lodge can be reached on foot and, snow permitting, with snowshoes or mountaineering skis.
This geocache was created and positioned by the first class of the Santo Stefano di Cadore middle school, as part of an educational trip to learn about the mountains.

Die Berghütte “Padova”, in Domegge di Cadore, wurde 1910 von der CAI Padua Sektion gebildet und befindet sich 1300 Meter hoch in einer Lichtung am Fuße der Monfalconi und Spalti del Toro Bergen.
Die Berghütte ist von einem wunderbaren Ahorne, Erlen, Birken, Buchen und Tannen Wald umgeben: hier kann man Ruhe und Gelassenheit genießen.
Die Berghütte ist vom 25. Dezember bis zum 6. Januar und vom 25. April bis zum 31. Oktober geöffnet. Im Sommer ist die Berghütte mit dem Auto erreichbar: von Domegge an muss man den Centro Cadore See überschreiten und man geht die Straße entlang, die in den Wald führt. Die Straße ist 7 Kilometer lang und führt bis zur Berghütte, 1287 Meter hoch: von hier kann man für viele Spaziergänge abgehen. Wer einen ruhigen Spaziergang im Wald genießen will, kann zu Fuß gehen: zwei Stunden sind genügend, um die Berghütte zu erreichen.
Dieses Geocaching ist von der ersten Klasse der Mittelschule von Santo Stefano di Cadore realisiert und positioniert worden, im Bereich eines didaktischen Ausfluges, um die Bergen zu kennen.
