Join us at a brief gathering to celebrate GeocacheAlaska! Inc.'s relationship with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, as well as many community partner organizations, at Potter Marsh Discovery Day. Find us on the grassy field east of the parking lot. After our brief gathering, you are encouraged to stay and help provide information on Geocaching to interested people. The usual social fellowship might be accompanied by special bling drawings.
Potter Marsh Discovery Day is a VERY FUN event! Cachers attenting previous Discovery Days had a blast telling people about caching and helping them find the nearby day caches. Want in on that fun? You're in luck!
We are recruiting 'field assistants' to help GeocacheAlaska! Inc. present Geocaching to members of the public visiting Potter Marsh during this Discovery Day from 11am to 4pm. If you're interested in helping people learn how to use a GPS or an app to find several close-by day caches, indicate your willingness in your 'will attend' post. We're looking for cachers who can help out during one and a half hour shifts from 10:30am to noon / noon to 1:30pm / 1:30pm to 3pm / 3pm to 4:30pm. You're certainly welcome to spend the entire day with us, or whatever amount of time you can, as we talk about getting outdoors and Geocaching.
Please note parking is limited. Carpooling in encouraged, so bring a friend!
