This geocache is placed in conjunction with the 2024 Allegany State Park Geobash. This is a regular sized container hidden along Hemlock Hollow Trail. Be aware that the roads in this area are not maintained in the winter!
Please note: The Park charges a Vehicle Use Fee ($7 for cars in 2024), Daily from the 4th week of June to Labor day and on weekends and holidays from Memorial Day to Mid-October.
This is a night cache so you must follow the fire tacks to the final location. The posted coordinates are for parking. From the parking area, walk across the bridge and follow the trail until you find the first fire tack. As you reach each tack, you should be able to see the next one. Follow the fire tacks until you find a tree with two tacks together. At this tree you should turn left into the woods and look for your next fire tack. When you see three tacks together, the cache is nearby and you should start looking around, the cache container is within 20 feet of the three tacks.
