There are a few scepies of armadillo living in South East Texas, the most common being the nine-banded armadillo. However, once in a while you can spot a very rare species, a fire-breathing armadillo. They are usually much bigger and tend to live close to barbecue or Mexican restaurants. They are very friendly and shy, despite their fiery breath. To make sure they don't cause a fire by accident, they always carry a miniature fire extinguisher with them, usually under the right cheek. Very few people have seen them, don't miss your opportunity!
