Geocache Description:

Welcome to Badlesmere, once called Basmere. There has been a recorded settlement (under the name 'Badelesmere') as far back as the Domesday Book, which also mentioned that in the time of King Edward the Confessor, the parish was worth sixty shillings.

This is a series of 15 caches over approximately 2 and a half miles. There are no stiles. For parking, there is a layby nearby on the main road, and one further down.

The gate to get into the field does open, even though it looks like it is padlocked. There are sometimes sheep in this field, and llamas too.

After this cache, keep to the footpath on your map as best you can and aim for the next cache.
