Point Emery is often windy, and on days when it's blustery, it's a great place to watch kiteboarders. On calmer days, you may see stand up paddle boarders. You'll have company in the form of muggles (many of whom stay in their cars just enjoying the views) and shorebirds pretty much all the time. This area was rehabbed in 2022, with the shoreline on either side being cleaned up, and four thousand tons of rock rip-rap installed in order to protect the point from tidal and wave erosion. The area also got an improved path and new seating! Parking can be tricky, but tends to turn over pretty quickly. This is pretty much a park-and-grab, however you could park farther afield and make the walk down the San Francisco Bay Trail, which is a walking path along the shoreline; the water is on one side, and the access road on the other. This is a nano, plesae bring a TOTT to extract the log, and a pen to sign it with. Because this is a high-muggle area, stealth is required. Happy Caching!
