Affectionately named by locals and families who travel to visit it as "The Big Wooden Slide." the covered wooden sliding board stands 40 feet high and was built in the Spring of 1950 by volunteers from the church and local community. Owned by the Mount Tabor Lutheran and United Church of Christ in Rocky Ridge, the actual sliding board is made of hardwood flooring with the rest of the structure built of various lumber. The slide has its own website and boasts that it is the largest of its kind in the state. In keeping with the family atmosphere the church promotes, alcohol is prohibited and the park closes at dark.--
