This is a tribute cache to a good friend and fellow geocacher, ghs. My husband and I met him through geocaching, and he became a very good friend to us and to our four-legged cachers, Max and Indy. He was always so good to spoil them regularly. Unfortunately, ghs (Glenn), lost a hard-fought battle with cancer. This cache is placed to honor this very special man.
This very intelligent man loved geocaching! He was a friend and help to many who enjoy the hobby. If he found a cache that he thought merited it, he would award you “the prized button.” He touched many lives and was well-known for lengthy and entertaining cache logs. He despised nanos, loved FTFs (and acquired many), and left a smell of cigar smoke in his wake. I treasure his friendship and miss him greatly.
And to borrow a few of his infamous words… Getting to this cache you may need to use your “electronic dingbat.” I certainly hope the “dihydrogen monoxide” doesn’t prohibit you from a day of caching. Put on your shades to protect you from the “infernal ball of heat.” And above all, keep looking for those FTFs and continue the hunt in this hobby that “isn’t illegal, but should be!”
