*Important* The cache is not hidden at the posted coordinates, but is very close by.
This is is a letterbox cache. It should be about a .1 mile walk to the posted coordinates. There you should find a hollow tree to the lower side of trail. From from the hollow tree, walk on down the trail another 45-50 feet, toward the two trees with red paint on them. Go past the trees, and there you should see a big downed tree log to your right (upper side of the trail). The letterbox cache container is located behind the down tree log. Please use the stamp provided inside to use on your personal log book. Please stamp our logbook with your personal stamp, or use one of the smaller swag stamps we have provided.
Hoopiehide is a geocaching friend of ours. He is a teacher at the local community college here, and even taught geocaching as an elective course. Hoopiehide is no longer an active geocacher, and the geocaches he had hidden on the trails behind the college have been archived. This is one of a series of geocaches hidden along the trails, in honor of our friend, Hoopiehide!
Parking coordinates can be found in the waypoints.
