Geocache Description:

15 June 2024, 14:00 - 16:00

The Library Summer Reading Program theme for 2024 is "Adventure Begins at Your Library". What greater adventure is there, than Geocaching? Join us as we present an Introduction to Geocaching. Whether you are a novice or a more experienced cacher, all are welcome to attend.

We’ll go through the history of the game and cover the basics of hiding and finding geocaches of all difficulties and styles.

There will be a presentation with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and swap stories. Come be a part of the conversation as we share this hobby we love with curious Muggles.

Parking is limited in the primary library lot. Additional parking is available across Ventris Ave. For your safety, please do not cross the railroad tracks.

The discussion has been planned to interest people ages 14 and older, though all ages are welcome to attend. Younger attendees should be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Maitland Public Library is located at 501 Maitland Ave South, Maitland, FL 32751. The presentation will begin at 2:00pm, with Q&A and Geo-Chat to follow.

*This event will be held in partnership with Maitland Public Library. Attendees will include library patrons, in addition to geocachers.
