This Cache is placed as part of the 2024 New York State Park Central Region Geocache Challenge. There are approximately 80 geocaches hidden within 22 state parks and historic sites in this parks region, the first 150 people to find 45 or more caches will receive a special geocache challenge coin. NYS Parks Saratoga - Capital region and the Taconic region will be hosting a similar challenge!! 10 caches found in the Sara-Cap and/or Taconic region Challenge can be used toward the Central Challenge.

This cache contains a unique stamp which must stay with the cache. Use this stamp to mark your passport. This stamp is NOT a trade item.
This cache is placed as part of the geocache challenge along the trail going towards the
old barn foundation. Gradient means “to gain altitude” - since many people have been on
this trail in the past to go to the Old Barn foundation it will be very familiar, but it is not
hidden in the same spot as a previous hide. You are looking for an ammo can on the
north side of the trail.
