Geocache Description:

Cache #199

When I first started caching there were quite a few caches on Gateway Island. Over the years they have slowly been archived until there are very few left. Time to fix that up - this is a series of slightly different caches to fill the gap here. There is a concrete path around the outside of the island (with acess points highlighted) allowing walking and cycling accees to the caches. Most of the caches are hopefully above flood level, but access might be restricted at times.

There was once a cache on the a bike that was held in the nearby tree - this was archived a few years ago. Now there is a sign and a very cool sculpture. Use the following information to calculate GZ which is only a short walk (or cycle) away - looking for a 400ml sistema hidden above flood level (no climbing required).

= Number of bicycles on the sculpture

B = Number of VERTICAL wheels NOT attached to a bicycle on the sculpture

C = Number of wheels NOT attached to a bicycle on the sculpture

DE = Total Number of wheels on the sculpture

α = A-B

β = B+C-E

γ = D2

δ = A÷D

GZ S 36 Eα.βγα E 146 αγ.δγC

Checksum S 32 E 35

The Island can be busy and so stealth will be required at times - cyclists can appear quickly so take care with kids. Snakes might be present in the warmer months. I take the geohound here but am wary that there are lots of kangaroos so safer to keep them on a leash.

Enjoy!
