In the shadow of the most Majestic rocks in West va.
I often stop here whenever I am passing by on my way to or from caving, camping or just seeing the beauty and wonder of West Va.
West Va is a treasure trove of natural beauty. Rivers, lakes forests rocks, Caves and of course Mountains.
My first trip to Seneca was in 84 whe I came through here on a Caving trip.
One of my friends was married here in the shadow of the rocks.
I came here Oct 24th 1987 and saw the Gendarme had fallen.
My wife and I have stayed in a nearby cabin and hiked to the top of the rocks (I recomend this for anyone who wans to see what the view at the top of the rocks is. but are not inclinded to use ropes :)
I am a caver but not a rock climber. so I just watch others climb.
Often I will stop at the nearby picnic tables and enjoy a sanck and waict the rock climbers as they scale the cliffs.
If you go the the edge of the open meadow you wil find a trail down to the river. Take a shot walk and listen to the relaxing sounds of Wind, Water and nature.
The cache: You ae looking for a bison tube in a small glade nearby the picnic tables.
