Way back when we first started geocaching, Padawan #2 asked dad if he could place a cache in front of the house. It was a family-size medicine bottle (a large ibuprofen I think). That cache was called "Toys & Stuff". When we moved a little over a year later, the cache moved with us, but had to be archived and restored as a new cache. "Toys & Stuff 2" was placed inside an old milk can mom wanted to place in the flower bed. When we had to move again 7 years later, the milk can moved again. This time the inside container was replaced with a giant mayonaise jar from the pizza place most of us kids worked as we grew through high school. Same big red can, now placed as "Toys & Stuff 3" and dad started putting toys in he got from kids at school, conferences he went to, and such (he's an elementary teacher).
Now Mom and Dad have bought a home, and so after 7 years, "Toys & Stuff 3" is retired and replaced at their new home, again in the big red milk can. Hopefully this one will stay even longer than any of it's predecessors. Mom says she's going to paint a geocaching logo on the can, but that might take a bit.
