Just a geocache placed beside a shaded gully.
I tried to place this cache as close as I could to the center of the existing Power Walk trail. As I approached, two pronghorns fled across the sage flats, and I startled a jackrabbit from a nearby bush; it went bounding away. The sound of meadowlarks always delight me ... they were trilling their song. And I saw much elk and deer sign although I did not spot the creatures themselves.
When you are walking across this trackless flat, be aware that there is much cactus underfoot --- thick-soled shoes/boots are highly recommended. And I suggest leaving your canine companion behind or they might end up with thorns in their paws ... OUCH!
The geo has a log and a pencil, and there is a bit of room for smallish trinkets. Please log your find online after signing the log, and hide as well or better than you found it. Can't wait to see the pictures you take of this area ... it's stunning.
Congratulations to MildredOsborne for being the FTF at HUB. Well done!
