Vingio parkas yra miškinga Vilniaus miesto teritorijos dalis, iš trijų pusių plaunama Neries upės srovės. Tai didžiausias sostinės miško parkas, svarbus nacionaliniu mastu. Teritorija pamėgta sportininkų. Ypač ryte čia galime pastebėti bėgančius, einančius ar joga užsiimančius vilniečius. Vakarinėje parko dalyje yra Vingio stadionas – sporto bazė, kur treniruojasi ir profesionalūs sportininkai. Aikštė aplink estradą yra pamėgta poilsio ir laisvalaikio erdvė, kurioje nuolat gausu miestiečių. Čia veikia restoranas, maisto kioskai, pramogos vaikams. Gausu vaikų žaidimų aikštelių bei lauko treniruoklių.
Parko dislokacijos vieta Neries kilpa – vingis, todėl miškinga teritorija turi ilgą upės pakrantės perimetrą. Pakrantės apaugusios gluosniais, juodalksniais, daug kur uosialapiais klevais. Vakarinėje parko dalyje, kitame upės krante matoma Plikakalnio atodanga. Patį parką galima apžiūrėti ir nuo Neries apžvalgos aikštelės.
Vingis Park is a wooded part of the territory of the city of Vilnius, washed by the currents of the Neris River on three sides. It is the largest forest park in the capital, and it is important on a national scale. The area is popular with athletes. Especially in the morning, we can see people from Vilnius running, walking or doing yoga here. In the western part of the park is the Vingios Stadium, a sports base where professional athletes also train. The square around the stage is a popular recreation and leisure space, which is constantly crowded with townspeople. There is a restaurant, food stalls, entertainment for children. There are plenty of children's playgrounds and outdoor exercise equipment.
The location of the park is the Neris loop - a bend, so the forested area has a long perimeter of the river bank. The coasts are covered with willows, black alders, and in many places ash-leaved maples. In the western part of the park, on the other bank of the river, you can see the Plikakalnis outcrop. The park itself can be viewed from the Neries observation deck.
