Cache # 540.
This cache replaces the one that was created back in 2015 but I have left the cache notes the same.
The Drip has had a chequered history so far in its very short public life span. It is a very impressive letterbox on the road between Wodonga and Beechworth, not far from the Yackandandah turn-off.
Once upon a time there was a shiny new letterbox sitting happily by the side of the road. It was immediately spied by me and I planned to include it in my letterbox art series.

Then it disappeared!
It had been stolen and there was quite an outcry of public feeling with Facebook possibly making things a little too difficult for the thieves. The locals were on "letterbox watch". Shortly thereafter it was found dumped in an industrial area of Wodonga.
The owner was pleased to get his sculpture back and soon it was happily sitting by the side of the road again. Alas, the powers that be deemed it a road hazard!!!!!! It was impounded and whisked away once more. This time there was public outrage and a questionnaire for people to vote whether they thought it was a dangerous hazard. Common sense must have finally prevailed because it is now back, albeit in a slightly different position well off the road and firmly anchored in place. Hopefully it will now live happily ever after!
I think it looks better than before and there is now safe parking where the letterbox used to sit.
This cache is now on the same side as the letterbox at the rail trail. Beware of muggles approaching by bicycles.
