Þuríðarbúð or Þuríðar´s cottage is a rebuild of a shelter that was used by crews of fishing boats in the 1800s. In the past these cottages were numerous all along the coastline.
This rebuilt shelter was erected in the memory of Þuríður Einarsdóttir, a woman born in 1777 who was a captain for 50 years.
The cottage is always open for visitors and is free of charge. The cache is hidden inside.
