Background
Welcome to my series of odd and miscellaneous challenges.
The challenge combines both the most common cache type out there (traditional) and the most common cache size (micro) all into one challenge.
We consider this challenge to either be the prequel or possibly the sequel to two of our other Olio challenges, A Traditional Double Calendar Challenge Olio #12 (GC9JYR0) and A Micro Double Calendar Challenge Olio #30 (GCA4QBC) depending on your individual situation. If you qualify for this challenge, it acts like a prerequisite to those other two challenges. You will automatically be over half way to qualifying for both of them.
Or conversely, if you have completed those other two challenges first, you will be subsequently well on your way to completing this challenge as well.
Best of all, all three of these challenges can be completed in parallel if you don't qualify for any of them yet.
We would like to give a shout out to Mumpitz77 for being the inspiration for this challenge. We leveraged the concept for this challenge from their 365 Tradi-Tage in Größe Micro *Challenge Cache* (GC9MVHD) in Germany. Thank you Mumpitz77.
The Challenge
To qualify for this challenge, you must have found a micro-sized traditional cache on all 365 days of the year.
The Requirements
Some more things about the challenge to be aware of:
- Again, only traditional caches in the micro size can be used for this challenge.
- Only the day and month matter for this challenge; the year is irrelevant.
- This is not a streak challenge in any way. The finds do not have to be sequential in any way. In other words, there is no requirement for this challenge to be completed in one year. This challenge can be completed over any number of years.
- Leap Day aka February 29th is not required for this challenge. It's considered a nice to have and is not a part of the mandatory 365 days of the year.
- In the past, it was also possible to log the same cache multiple times. Those caches can only be used once for this challenge, only on the first day it was found.
- In the past, it was possible to log your own caches. These caches are not allowed for this challenge.
- Past finds count. Any caches that you have found and have been archived or disabled after you have found them can be used for this challenge if it meets the criteria.
The fine print
CO reserves the right to make any changes to this challenge if any issues or ambiguities are discovered. CO will be fair but has the final say on any events, caches, finds, or logs that are questionable. CO reserves the right to delete any logs if problems are found.
Finding This Cache
Do NOT access this cache from Highway 2. Please use the nearby service road instead.
Please be aware the shoulder space along the service road near GZ is very limited. For this cache, we recommend parking at the approach to the south of GZ and walking from there. PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN CROSSING THE ROAD. Coordinates for the parking location are listed in the waypoint below.
Please remember to be respectful of the cache location. Be aware of how and where the cache is "attached" so that it can be put back in exactly the same way and in the same place for the next person(s) to enjoy.
Logging This Cache
As with any challenge caches, you are welcome to physically sign the log for this cache and log it as "Write Note" if you haven't met the challenge's requirements yet. Please bring your own pen(cil)/writing instrument to sign the log.
Please use this Project-GC challenge checker below to verify if you have qualified for this challenge.
You can only log a "Found It" entry online after you've completed the challenge and signed the log. All non-qualifying "Found It" logs will be deleted without notice.
Similar Challenge Caches?
Whether you qualify for this challenge or not, you may also qualify for similar challenges as well.
If you know of any other caches similar to this challenge or if you want to replicate this challenge in your area, please let me know and I will add those caches here so that other cachers can be aware.
