Under 18 år från 1992 till 2010 arrangerades en musikfestival i staden som i början var ganska liten och profilerade sig mot syntmusik. Senare blev det en större musikalisk spridning och därmed bredare och större publik. Festivalen gick i konkurs samtidigt med många andra festivaler i det som kallades ”den svenska festivaldöden”. Många artister spelade på festivalen innan de slog igenom, och det var något av det roligaste med att gå på festivalen – att kunna upptäcka och få nya favoriter. Några av de stora internationella namn på spelade på festivalen: Kraftwerk, Björk, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails och New Order.

Later there was a greater musical spread and thus a wider and larger audience. The festival went bankrupt at the same time as many other festivals in what was called "the Swedish festival death". Many artists played the festival before they broke through, and that was one of the most enjoyable things about going to the festival – being able to discover and gain new favourites.
