                     UNA CACHE PER UN NOBEL

Dario Fo nacque a Sangiano il 24 marzo 1926. Era drammaturgo, attore, regista, scrittore, autore, illustratore, pittore, scenografo, attivista e comico italiano. Nel 1954 sposa Franca Rame, compagna di vita e d'arte, con la quale formerà un' indissolubile compagnia teatrale. Il 9 ottobre 1997 riceve a Stoccolma dalle mani del re Gustavo di Svezia il Premio Nobel per la letteratura, assegnatogli con la seguente motivazione:"Perchè, seguendo la tradizione dei giullari medioevali, dileggia il potere restituendo la dignità agli oppressi". Il 13 ottobre 2016, all'ospedale Sacco di Milano, si è spento all'età 90 anni.

Il 25 maggio 2024 vengono inaugurati il piazzale e il murale dell'artista Sonia Zarantonello dedicati alla coppia, alla presenza del figlio Jacopo e della nipote Mattea.

Dario Fo was born in Sangiano on 24 March 1926. He was an Italian playwright, actor, director, writer, author, illustrator, painter, set designer, activist and comedian. In 1954 he married Franca Rame, his life and artistic partner with whom he formed an indissoluble theater company. On 9 October 1997 he received the Nobel Prize for Literature in Stockholm from King Gustav of Sweden with the following motivation: "Because, following the tradition of medieval jesters, he mocks power by restoring dignity to the oppressed". On 13 October 2016, at the Sacco hospital in Milan, he passed away at the age of 90.
On May 25, 2024, the square and the mural by artist Sonia Zarantonello dedicated to the couple were inaugurated, in the presence of their son Jacopo and granddaughter Mattea.
