This bizarrely shaped shrine is the Nagakura Inari Shrine. It was originally built in 1913 after a fire at Nagakura-cho revealed the remains of an Inari-shrine. This Nagakura Inari Shrine was then built to prevent curses from this burning down of an Inari-shrine. The shrine was then merged with a separate Inari-shrine in 1917, and later after the pacific war, the shrine was moved from its original location to where it is now.

この不思議な作りをした神社は永倉稲荷神社です。大正2年（1913）に当地近くの永倉町で火災があった際、焼け跡から稲荷社の跡が発見されたことから、祟りを鎮めるために創建されたといいます。大正6年伏見瓢単山の稲荷神社の分霊を合祀、太平洋戦争後に当地へ遷座・再建したといいます。
