Almiros Gorge - The start.
The cache is located at the entrance of the Almiros Gorge. The next cache you can find is the cache Almyros gorge - Lower part (GC7G1ZC) and at the end of the gorge you can visit the cache Almiros (GC25THB).
We like this gorge. In June the oleanders bloom beautifully and it is a joy to be here.
This is a kind of drive-in cache. The dirt road is good up to the churches near the cache GC7G1ZC. There you have to park your car because the road becomes a small footpath.
To get there you can drive the new road from Heraklion to Rethymno. Take the Ammoudara exit, direction Almiros Spring. Halfway you can turn right into the Almiros gorge.
