Geocache Description:

Cache IS at the posted coordinates. This is a special kinda of geocache called a letterbox hybrid. A letterbox hybrid is a cache that contains a stamp, ink pad and a logbook. With this type of cache you sign the log with a personal stamp and stamp your book with the stamp inside. SO PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THEM. THESE ITEMS ARE TO STAY IN THE CACHE!
Letterboxing is an older form of scavenger hunt from 1854 that used written clues in place of GPS.
Here you will find a botanical themed letterbox filled with floral stamps inside the nature trail portion of the botanical gardens.
In the 1990s, a group of gardeners wanted to set a part of land apart  and create a beautiful garden to inspire and educate. The idea was well liked and with the help of the public the gardens gained over 100 acre saved to be used as a diverse garden.  Opened officially in December of 2000, it  has different types of gardens as well as building on site and continues to grow. This area here is used as a natural habitat area. So, you may see all kinds of critters as well as thorns. So, keep that in mind when going to grab this one.

Hours- 7 to 5pm, with exceptions on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Free admission. Generally has plenty of parking nearby.
