Cache #4 on the BPRD Geocache Challenge
Welcome to Sertoma Park!
Sertoma Park is one of the park district’s most used – and loved – parks. You can play horseshoes, sand volleyball or tennis, have a picnic at one of the 11 reservable outdoor shelters or the indoor Sertoma Club Community Center, play on one of the 8 playgrounds, see two Eagle art pieces, and walk along the trail that winds through the park. Sertoma Park is also home to the Dakota Zoo and Super Slide Amusement Park.
Near the tennis courts and youth tennis/pickleball courts at the south end of the park are a FitLot space with fitness equipment and the park district’s first obstacle course designed for ages 5 and up.
Bismarck Parks and Recreation District (BPRD) has partnered with the North Dakota Geocaching Association (NDGCA) and Bismarck-Mandan Area Geocachers to establish 12 geocaching sites within BPRD’s system of parks and trails.
To participate in the BPRD Geocache Challenge, take a passport from the container or get one in advance by printing it or picking it up from the park office during normal business hours. Match the hole punch to the coordinating number on the passport. Once you have found all 12 of the park caches, return to BPRD office at 400 E. Front Ave., Bismarck, to claim your prize!
Remember to place the container back exactly where you found it for the next visitor to enjoy!
