Cache #12 on the BPRD Geocaching Passport
Welcome to Horizon Park!
Horizon Park is located near the Horizon Middle School and Horizon Heights neighborhood. The park land was originally purchased in 1985, and park development started in 2017.
There is a transportation-themed play area, loop trail (1/3 mile), shelter, outdoor fitness equipment, community gardens, open play space, and tennis and basketball courts.
Bismarck Parks and Recreation District (BPRD) has partnered with the North Dakota Geocaching Association (NDGCA) and Bismarck-Mandan Area Geocachers to establish 12 geocaching sites within BPRD’s system of parks and trails.
To participate in the BPRD Geocache Challenge, take a passport from the container or get one in advance by printing it or picking it up from the park office during normal business hours. Match the hole punch to the coordinating number on the passport. Once you have found all 12 of the park caches, return to BPRD office at 400 E. Front Ave., Bismarck, to claim your prize!
Remember to place the container back exactly where you found it for the next visitor to enjoy!
