You’re looking for a geocache placed just off the RED trail, one of 5 new caches that have been placed here for the 2024 West Bend $1,000 Cache Ba$h, with this year’s theme being Around the Wold in 66 Caches. See below for a color-coded map to the cache. Parking is available in the parking lot at N43 28.120 W88 18.265. If you're not looking at the map, suggested route is to go north on the ORANGE trail from the parking lot, then west on the RED trail, which eventually swings south to the cache. Total distance for all 5 new geocaches if following the map is approximately 1.6 miles round trip, with all 5 being just off the trails.
The MOON
Since the theme of this year's cache bash is "Around the World in 66 caches," what better theme than to have a cache dedicated to the moon, which literally circles around the world! The phrase "POW - trip to the moon" was a saying often repeated on the classic TV show The Honeymooners.
PERMISSION
Usually most visitors are requested to check in at the main lodge when walking the grounds (they’re friendly folks), but for those seeking the geocaches here they can go directly to the caches without checking in. Since it is private property please stay on the trails as much as possible.
