NB Original cache went missing so there is now a new one in place.
The cache is placed before the start of the track. Near this cache is the eastern entrance to the Wairau Valley Loop Track, a track that roughly follows the Wairau River, emerging onto Keith Coleman Lane at the western end. It is a lovely walk, or bike ride, but the track has been flooded in the past so sturdy boots are advised. There is a sign that tells about the flood damage but don't let that put you off exploring along the track, simply turn around and come back when you want to.
