明治後期の金融界の重鎮であり、大正から昭和初期まで首相、蔵相をつとめた政治家 高橋是清の邸宅跡地にある公園です。赤坂台地の高台にあたるこのエリアは、江戸時代は大名屋敷地、明治以降は高官や士族の邸宅地となってきた場所です。現在は赤坂御所や大使館、マンションの敷地に変わりましたが、豊かな緑と赤坂の歴史を感じる佇まいを残しています。
※旧高橋是清邸は現在、東京都立小金井公園の「江戸東京たてもの園」内に移築されています。
公園内は木々に囲まれた日本庭園となっています。池、石橋、石灯籠のほか、高橋是清翁像や石碑などが配置され、都心にいながら自然のなかの心地よい静寂と歴史、自然を感じることができます。

Takahashi Korekiyo Memorial Park

The park is located on the site of the former residence of Korekiyo Takahashi, a politician who was a leading figure in the financial world in the late Meiji period and served as Prime Minister and Minister of Finance from the Taisho period to the early Showa period. This area, which is located on the Akasaka plateau, was the site of a daimyo's residence in the Edo period (1603-1867) and the residence of high-ranking officials and samurai families after the Meiji period (1868-1912). Today, the area has been transformed into the Akasaka Imperial Palace, embassies, and condominiums, but it still retains its abundant greenery and a sense of Akasaka's history.
The park is a Japanese garden surrounded by trees. In addition to the pond, stone bridge, and stone lanterns, there is a statue of Korekiyo Takahashi and stone monuments, allowing visitors to feel the pleasant silence, history, and nature in the heart of the city.
