In the not too distant past, this area of Orange County was denuded of all trees, as this was the primary source for heat in the winter. Eventually everything began to grow back as heating sources changed. By his size, this big oak must of been one of the first to raise his head to the sun. He was likely already here when the last train rolled through in 1983.
