This is my Preferred Way Up to Mission Peak - avoids all of the crowds on the front side, takes you up the quiet back side for a nice long, steady climb along the Ohlone Wilderness Trail, leaving from the trailhead in the Sunol Wilderness Parking lot. Trailhead to peak round trip is about 10.5 miles, 2400 vertical -- a good climb -- with great views of the Sunol Wilderness.
For this cache, you'll have to go talk to the Old Man on the Corner -- when you're there, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. But cache should be an easy find once you're there.
