As a young boy I enjoyed climbing trees and as the years progressed I had other interests that took over. Now that I have become hooked on geocaching, some of my favourite caches to find are tree climbing caches that require no equipment. Just you and the tree.
Thus, this is a series of free tree climbing caches that require NO additional equipment just you versus the tree.
Nature's Ladder #5 - Rutherford
The tree is in the middle of this old, but small cemetery. This cache is a silver bison tube about 4m up this tree. I must be honest and say that it was hard even for me (6 feet 2 inches) to get up the first part of the trunk, so a ladder may be helpful for those with smaller legs. Once I got up there it was like walking the plank and even better you could hang onto a few very solid branches to get you to the cache.

I have made every attempt to make this a challenging but safe cache however, you need to decide whether or not you are able to do so safely. Please do not attempt it if you don't think you can get up, and back down safely and without hurting yourself.
