Geocache Description:

There Be Trolls Here!

In 1638, Swedes and Finns colonized New Sweden in the NJ Pines. There are rumors that they brought over stolen Trolls from the mountains of Norway. Many of these Trolls escaped slavery to hide in the woods. Throughout the centuries, many have mistaken their sightings for Bigfoot or even the Jersey Devil. Ask any Swede, Finn, or Norwegian in the Pine Belt today about them, and they will give you a knowing nod and a wink.

Lately, they have been seen from Hainesport, where a Troll appears nightly to eat an old paint factory, to the Pasadena section of Whiting. On this location is the old Pasadena Terracotta Factory (recently called the Brooksbrae Brick Factory), which only survived a railroad strike when it opened to only suffer a catastraphic fire. Prior to the factory being built, there was an old Troll house. The foundation only exists today. This is where you will find the cache. Just follow the Troll footprints into the foundation to the right.

The footprints might even be from Old Rusty, who found left-over paint cans in Hainesport to graffiti the walls of the old terracotta factory here....
