Geocache Description:

You will need a smartphone or a WHERIGO-compatible GPS device to find the final location of this cache.
You can download the cartridge here.
You must enter the start code into your device at the beginning. This involves three six-digit numbers, which you must determine in advance.

🙏 We would like to thank -Waldmeister- for providing the cartridge and wish you lots of fun.

This geocache (1#2) is dedicated to a country in the west whose capital is 8.953 km away from Taiwan's capital.

What do you know about Germany?
Germany lies in the centre of Europe. It is bordered by steep mountains to the south and two seas to the north - the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. Germany has around 84.7 million inhabitants (as at 31 December 2023) and, with an area of 357,588 square kilometres and an average of 236 inhabitants per square kilometre, it is one of the most densely populated territorial states.
Germany is a country rich in culture and tradition. Famous composers such as Beethoven and Bach created many historical masterpieces of classic music. Writers such as Goethe and Kafka and philosophers such as Kant and Nietzsche have also lived and worked in this far-flung country.

Germany is well known for its prosperous economy. Currently ranked 4th in the world, Germany has a history of famous car manufacturers such as VW, BMW and Mercedes Benz.
The industry is known for high quality and precision.

Germany is also about food and drink. You may have heard of delicious sauerkraut and bratwurst? ... or you tried a pretzel once yourself?
Interestingly, there are special public events to celebrate special seasonal dishes. We might come to one of them during your test ...

Here are some questions to test your knowledge about that country in the far west.
Important: apart from numbers - all other answers must be given in English to match!

Don't panic! Don`t be afraid, you do not have to go all the way to Germany to log that cache.
The logbook is actually quite near to you here in Taipei City wink - have fun!

In addition to Germany, this geocache is also dedicated to two friends of ours who - back in 2015 - carefully turned us from ignorant muggles into geocaching addicts without us even noticing.
Thank you Corinna - this far, far away WIG 1#2 is our wedding gift for you.

"Fate may decide who comes into our lives, but the heart decides who stays!"

Here's to both of you - Corinna & Thomas  - ... and your wedding in June'24.
