Several species of woodpeckers can be seen in the parks and wooded areas around Edmonds, including Northern Flickers, Hairy Woodpeckers, Downy Woodpeckers, and Pileated Woodpeckers. However, if seen at this cache, they are likely only flying by!
Many woodpeckers hammer on trees and other objects; some create nests in cavities they have found or created in trees.
Again, as with my previous hides, the name of the cache is a tautogram, since I think we need more tautograms in Snohomish : )
There is no official parking nearby, although there are some businesses with parking (and you might be able to make a quick stop wihtout being towed), and it may be possible to park on some of the nearby streets.
