Geocache Description:

Hidden in the Torus installation of Jubilee Park

Christine Cholewa in collaboration with Murray Bridge High School students

Finniss artist Christine Cholewa worked in collaboration with Murray Bridge High School students to create the 'Torus' installation in Rotary Jubilee Park on Swanport Road.

The students wanted to make a welcoming safe space where people can spend time together near their school. The donut shape, or torus form, is continuous and inclusive, without corners or hierarchy. The concept references this region as a food bowl, and the many different cultures that bring their own variety of this delicacy. The torus also has roots in mathematics, architecture, philosophy and cosmology.

Funded by Council’s Public Art Fund with a contribution from Housing SA
