Welcome to Historic Kokernut Field. This stadium has been an iconic part of the Alpine community since 1947. Featured in Texas Mothly in 2010 and 2017, this gem of a ball diamond is worth going out of your way to see if you're a fan of the sport.
In the summer this is the home of the Alpine 06 Cowboys, part of the Pecos League. The field has an amazing history that you can read in the book The Amazing Tale of Mr. Herbert and His Fabulous Alpine Cowboys Baseball Club:An Illustrated History of the Best Little Semipro Baseball Team in Texas.
To the West: The newly rennovated High School. Please enjoy it for a moment because it was very expensive!
To the South: Kokernut Park and the municipal pool are wonderful places for the public to gather. The trees provide shade and there are facilites for volleyball, paths for walking, a dog park, play structures, picnic tables and benches to sit and rest.
To the East: Alpine Radio! KVLF 1240 and KALP 92.7, and Goats!
