29th July 2023 was a special day.
Being born and brought up in Swanage, it has always been a special place for me and had increasingly been so for my partner. So I thought what more appropriate place could there be to 'pop the question'? So having booked a few days here for carnival week we set off for a walk along the Coast Path from Peveril Point. We decided to have a rest at this location and I placed the ring in a suitable caching container without her noticing.
A few minuites later I pretended that my GPS had located a cache nearby and I set us both a task to look for it (me, of course, looking in totally the wrong place). After a few hints, she eventually found the container and the surprise inside; turning around she had another surprise seeing me on one knee!!
We are returning to Swanage at the same time this year to place and make this new cache live and, whilst I will still be visiting the old town a couple of times every year, Studlandbeach09 has kindly agreed to keep an eye on it and to carry out any maintenance needed if I'm not likely to be around for some time.
Cache holder is of a fair size and there are seats nearby should you need to rest your legs!
The cache is just off the South West Coast Path so with the cliff edge nearby please keep a close eye on little ones and any dogs on a lead.
Many thanks to both Swanage Town Council and the Purbeck area Senior Ranger for Durlston Country Park for giving permission to locate this cache here.
When searching for this cache, please make sure that you do not damage any of the surrounding area or cause harm to any wildlife.
....oh and by the way, She Said Yes!!
