Many may be surprised to know there is a small cemetery here, tucked in behind the Kialla West Primary School. Especially those that have driven past here many times on their way to and from Melbourne.
Of all the many cemeteries I've been to as a Funeral Director, a Geocacher and just a general Cemetery lover this is the first one to have a section for Dissenters
Oxford Languages Definition:
DISSENTER- a member of a non-established Church, a Nonconformist (noun)
So this quaint little cemetery has four separate religious sections; Roman Catholic, Presbyterian, Church of England/Anglican and Muslim; and a separate section for Dissenters. You will notice all but the Muslim section graves face east/west whereas the Muslim graves face north/south. When Muslims are buried, usually in a shroud with no coffin, their heads are turned to face Mecca.
The cache location should be obvious but just where the cache is hidden may take some searching and a small, easy tree climb will also be required.
The cache itself is a small camo, containing logbook and pencil.
