Lynwick Street does not lead to Lynwick House, which confused a lot of delivery drivers before the advent of SatNavs. However, the track you are now on was at one time the main approach to Lynwick and in the 1950s was lined with horse chestnut trees and in spring was bedecked with daffodils (not wild) planted by the owner of the estate in the early 20th century.
