RIDING THE TRAIN
Different modes of worldwide transportation provide unique experiences, but nothing beats the thrill of a train ride! Many people prefer train travel because it can be a less stressful and less expensive mode of transportation, especially over long distances. The benefits of riding the train are many, including scenic views, food and drink options, restroom facilities, time for reading, no traffic jam hassles, convenience, and it's even environmentally friendly. Several years ago we even took the train on an overnight trip to the west coast to find oldie geocaches from year 2000. Our accomodations included a private room with beds for overnight travel. It’s a completely different experience to read a book, listen to music, or watch the scenery while sitting near the window as you travel. Have you ridden a train, lately?
THE PARK
Villa Park has trails that wind through both prairie and wooded areas. The park’s facilities include a play structure including swings, picnic areas, a GaGa Ball pit, softball field, soccer field, and open playfield areas. A seating overlook provides a scenic view of the area. Dogs are allowed if on a 6 foot leash or less. We hope you enjoy your walk in the park!
