A life buoy, also known as a life ring or life preserver, is a vital piece of safety on water. They are commonly found on boats, docks, beaches, and other water-related areas where there is a risk of drowning. The bright color and reflective bands on the life ring make it easily visible in the water, especially during low light conditions or rough weather.
This time, it might be challenging to see the life buoy floating on the water surface, but we believe that a friend and a 10 eurocent valued container are going to help you in this mission! Good luck and stay safe!

The geocache is hidden by Bolderaja quarry near the bike path from Imanta (Anniņmuižas boulevard) to Daugavgrīva beach in Piejūras national park. The entire route from the Anniņmuižas boulevard to the Piejūras nature park takes about an hour by bike. At this spot you will have a scenic view at Bolderaja quarry - a perfect swimming and rest point in the summer time.
At the end of bike path you'll find a small trail leading to the sea, passing through a marsh. Along the trail, you'll encounter a bird watching tower. At the end of the trail, there's a beach with a designated swimming area. Look for the geocache and continue along the Imanta-Daugavgrīva bike route!
