TeamViper was established July 20,2004 when 1Queenand4Jokers took our then 10-year-old out looking for a geocache not far from my family home in Manitoba GCFA96  They were convinced that we would get hooked on the game but it took more than a year for that to happen and I enjoy it more every single year.
When we first started there were only a dozen or so caches in St. Albert and only one other local cacher. Edmonton had a few more cache hides & cachers, some of them are still in the game. I hope to lure some of the veterans to join us here with the promise of cake. Newly published caches were scarce back then and FTFâs were rare and never shared. There were no power trails, challenges or geo-art. Caching life was simpler back then. We had time for muggle friends, sports, entertainment & we even occasionally traveled to places without cache hides.
Even though I now cache solo as Lady_Viper, there are so many cachers (family & friends) that have helped me get to what I have achieved. I donât have the space to list all the friendships & teams formed over the past 20 years but everyone has added an element of fun to my game. I do love team names (fun acronyms) and have cached as Girl Friday, the Twisted Sisterhood and SheWolfPack (as well as teams AMMO, MOAB & CANAM). There are numerous more so feel free to remind me in your logs if I have had the privilege of caching with YOU.
Numbers ARE important to my gameâŚlike the number of amazing friends I have made, the number of epic road trips, the number of stellar hikes & hides. the number of incredible memories made, the number of times I barely managed to survive, the number of miles travelled, the number of times I just missed that TOPSPOT and of course, most important, that I end the day on an even number. Thanks to all those who humour me when I need just one more smiley to do just that.Â
