Mt. Ashland Summit
Coming up here, we were shocked to see that there were no geocaches at the summit of Mt. A! Naturally, we had to fix this. There is now a micro container hidden in the rocks by the summit of Mt. Ashland. And, as my father has pointed out, you have a great view of Mt. A's "bare backside." The cache is very near a ledge, so please be careful, especially when replacing it! We hope you love finding this cache as much as we loved placing it! Have a great adventure today!
Our Day:
My father and I took a peaceful drive one summer afternoon and found dozens of geocaches before deciding to hide several of our own. We highly recommend Dutchman's Peak, Yellowjacket Mountain, and Yellowjacket Spring. We sincerely hope you can get as much out of geocaching as we have, have a great day!
The Container:
This container, the logbook, and many of the prizes inside were placed here in 2007 as a part of a multicache created by user "Consoul of Project UCK". The cache was unfortunately unable to be published due to spacing issues, and it has remained here since. It was found once in 2012 by chance, and again in July 2024 by a youth group who I suspect were trying to find my cache. It was also found in 2020 by user "Radger89" who logged a TB that had been in this cache since it was placed in 2007 (TBG7FE). I have contacted the original placer of this cache and have gotten permission to "reclaim" it. This is the original location where it has been since 2007, so please do not move it.
