CONGRATULATIONS TO DUD&PLATO FOR THE FTF!
The 2024 Summer Solstice arrives in the Mountain Time Zone today at 2:51 pm. It's a highly, highly unusual summer solstice! Huh? How can a summer solstice be highly unusual? Heck, the solstice happens every June about this time! This year's solstice, today, is on June 20th. This is the first time the solstice has occurred on this date since June 20, 1796. That was 228 years ago, during George Washington's presidency. So yes, this is a highly unusual solstice!
The solstice is coupled to an extent with another astronomical event: the Strawberry Full Moon occurs tomorrow evening, rising at 7:08 pm MDT. It's the lowest full Moon of the year, which will make it appear extra full.
The cache is a pill vial. Get down low and find a couple of stones that cover it. After signing the log paper be certain to rehide it carefully. The walk to the cache is a pleasant one along a concrete walkway. Park at the eastern end of this sidewalk by the community park. Enjoy your walk. Enjoy the solstice cache. And enjoy the Strawberry Full Moon.
