After reaching 100 finds, I thought it was about time that I placed my first cache. I picked up this awesome hobby in April and in the words of my wife, have become obsessed with it.
This cache is dedicated to my geo-hound Bailey, who I've just started taking with me on these hunts. The area is a favorite walking spot for her, so I figured why not place a cache here. Bailey is a 7 year old German Sheppard and Mastiff mix, and has been recuperating from a major surgery called a TPLO to fix an issue with her ACL. This obviously kept her from being able to go on walks for quite a while to heal, but now she is healed and is ready for more adventures. For the first couple of weeks after she had the surgery, she had to wear a cone of shame so that she would not lick the incision area and cause problems with it.
She has recently helped me find a cache for the first time when one of them had some food in it, so of course she sniffed that out right away. I look forward to finding many more caches with her, and taking her to check on this one. Please feel free to post a picture of your geo-hound with your log, who doesn't love seeing dogs?
The cache is just big enough for a log, so no swag or trackables please, they simply won't fit.
There are two obvious entrance points to the hide, to the north is grassy and less steep, whereas the small footpath going up from the south. The southern entrance (Close to Markland Woods Apartments) is your best bet, and you will likely see it before you are too close. It is hanging about eye level. Please return exactly how you found it.
