Last time I looked at the area E of the main parking area, it was calling out for a CITO clean up.
So we'll meet at the posted coordinates at 7:00 pm and spread out to clean up as much as we can in the time that we have. For those that can stay, we'll do a group photo at 7:50 pm.
A few things to keep in mind at the event:
Bring and wear your own gloves
Bring your own garbage bags, I will have some available but maybe not enough for everyone
Dress appropriately for the weather
Wear sturdy, closed-toed footwear
Bring a hat, sunscreen, water and insect repellent (weather dependant)
Watch for wildlife as we are on the current N edge of the city
Do not touch unknown items, syringes, glass or other sharp objects. Record the coordinates and sahre them with me.
Do not compress garbage or reach into containers with hands or feet.
Leave all natural materials behind (leaves, deadwood, bones, etc).
Do not wade into bodies of water to retrieve items.
If working near the pathway, be careful of cyclists, runners, walkers and four legged muggles.
Do not remove large items (bikes, tires, sleeping bags, etc). Record the coordinates and share the, with me.
Do not enter illegal camps, respect the people who are potentially living there.
Take breaks. Drink water and wash or sanitize your hands before having a snack.
