Welcome to Sibley Street in Folsom
For those unfamiliar with Folsom, Sibley Street is the continuation of Prairie City Road (if you are coming from Hwy 50), and it continues down toward Old Folsom, ending at Figueroa Street.
Yes, this location may seem familiar, as it is a re-do of a cache recently archived. I decided to make it a multi, but the final is pretty much where the old cache was, so if you want to skip the math, you can skip straight to the final.
If you didn't do the previous cache, and need to locate the Final stage of the cache, you will first need to observe above eye-level, and while standing at the given coordinates, a four-digit number (right next to a UNIT letter). You will use this for your North and West offsets.
NORTH OFFSET:
The first digit (or the second for that matter) becomes your North Offset.
NORTH FINAL:
SUBTRACT the North Offset from the decimal minutes (.xxx) of the North Given coordinates to obtain your North Final Coordinates.
WEST OFFSET:
Note: For the math in this part – you will deal with the digits individually (give NO respect to their value – such as 10s 100s, 1000s).
Add the digits together, and then add the third digit in again to get the West Offset.
Or to put it another way: Digit 1 + Digit 2 + Digit 3 + Digit 4 + Digit 3 = West Offset This is your West Offset.
WEST FINAL:
SUBTRACT the West Offset from the decimal minutes (.xxx) of the West Given coordinates to obtain your West Final Coordinates.
