This cache is placed near where I live and along a dead end road where I often walk in the early mornings. To many people this part of the desert looks bare and uninteresting, but I see beauty in so many places here. I am especially drawn to the silvery gray stumps that stand tall defiant to the harsh elements. The host for this cache is one of those silver stumps.
There is plenty of room to park within feet of ground zero. It's a dead end street but some times there is traffic (two police cars parked about 30 feet away while I was cleaning up debris near GZ and placing the actual cache). Also watch for glass where I wasn't able to get all the glass picked up from a careless person who tossed out a glass table.
Left a little silver in the container for the kiddos!
As always keep an eye out for snakes and other critters in this desert area.
